Our mission is to showcase and preserve traditional African folklore dance, drum and music through quality performances, presentations and artistic education.

Delou Africa Dance Ensemble Inc. (D.A.D.E) has been performing, educating and teaching traditional West African dance, drum and music in South Florida since 1987. D.A.D.E works cooperatively with organizations and different entities in South Florida, to bring cultural awareness and diversity to the community and abroad. The company performs at numerous academic, cultural, civic and social venues. D.A.D.E is an artistic collective including drummers, musicians and dancers that work and perform together as an ensemble. Our artists are seasoned performers that perform and teach locally and internationally. Our performances include traditional West African dance and drum techniques along with Caribbean that is influenced by the African Diaspora. The dance and drum ensemble, (D.A.D.E) can captivate any audience; our performances are rich with energy, talent, excitement, and passion. Vibrant and traditional costumes cover the bodies of our dancers, drummers and musicians who perform an array of traditional techniques. These movements and rhythms are executed, with an explosive energy leaving the audience captivated, educated, entertained, and touched. Our drummers and musicians are phenomenal; together they play a variety of African instruments.

The core vision is inspired by the West African folklore tradition; we continue to develop Global Artistic expression in North, South, Central America and other regions in Africa.

Delou Africa Dance Ensemble aspires to grow creatively, artistically, spiritually and morally. Our goal is to educate and preserve African traditions through the artistic expression of dance drum, music and history.

D.A.D.E has residence at the Little Haiti Cultural Center in Miami and has become a stable within the fabric of the community. Due to the success and the loyal following of the community dance, drum and music session, D.A.D.E has expanded their brand to include a more in depth opportunity for participants and audiences to learn about West African dance, drum, music and culture.
